CMMI® (Capability Maturity Model® Integration) models are collections of best practices that help organizations to improve their processes.

The CMMI® for Acquisition model provides a comprehensive integrated set of guidelines for acquiring products and services as well as an appraisal framework allowing an organization to benchmark and continually improve its acquisition activities. The focus is on the processes of the acquirer and the activities for initiating and managing the acquisition of products and services to meet the needs of customers and end users.
