ISPL

Best Practices for Procurement Management

Information Services Procurement Library (ISPL) provides a framework for the management of IT procurement. It helps both customers and suppliers to structure and control their procurements and encourages them to build professional and businesslike relationships during an outsourcing project. Customers will be able to formulate a clear requirement and make appropriate and transparent decisions while suppliers will be able to propose solutions addressing the specific customers’ requirements.

The framework is based on a set of best practices which offer various management instruments for understanding and controlling the complex and changing situations within IT procurement.

OBJECTIVES

 To create awareness about procurement management and the need of a structured framework
 To provide understanding of the key ISPL concepts
 To provide a set of techniques supporting the acquisition and procurement processes
 To illustrate the customer and supplier benefits to be gained from the implementation of the procurement management best practices
